Trappers Brigade Updates

There have been a few changes to the Trappers Brigade application and the way that service points are earned. Here are the major changes to the application process. These changes should make it much easier to track service points. The updated Trappers Brigade application has been posted on the Forms & Applications page.

  • The application only track hours now and all awards are based on hours not points.
  • The application form now requires you to list the FCF events you have attended, get a signature from your pastor or senior commander that you are good standing with your outpost and get a signature from your FCF president or Scribe that you are in good standing with your chapter.
  • All projects now include travel time, including out of area projects.
  • The application reflects the changes on how points are counted (i.e. Company Trapper takes 50 service points, etc).

District Men's Retreat

OK District Men's Retreat

Father / Son Event

Camp Adventure, Chandler, OK

September 26th & 27th, 2008

This years district Men's Retreat will be held at Camp Adventure, and this year, the retreat is a Father/Son event. The Indian Nation will be setting up the FCF village and would like as many FCF members as possible to be there and make this the best men's retreat ever. There are several outposts that have already committed to running some events and doing demonstrations. Some of the events planned for the retreat are Paintball, Skeet Shooting, Golf, Hawk and Knife throw, Primitive Fire Starting (bow and drill & flint and steel). You are more than welcome, even encouraged, to come and set up demonstrations involving your frontiersman craft/trade. The district office has asked that we make an impressive showing about this very important ministry. So bring your lodge, set up in the village and come expecting a great time of fun and fellowship. No Powder is planning a Sunday morning service for those that want to make the most of the weekend and stay through Sunday.

Additional information about the Men's Retreat can be found on the OK A/G district web site.

2009 Territorial Rendezvous

The 2009 Territorial Rendezvous will again be hosted by the Jed Smith Chapter, which means that it will be held in the mountains of northern New Mexico. This Ronnyvu will be a little different though, as it will be a joint venture with the Plainsmen Territory and the Mountainmen Territory (Southwest Region). This promises to be one of the best Ronnyvu's since the 1840's. Start making your plans to attend this once in a lifetime event. Additonal information will be posted as soon as it is made available.
